Swiss Flag ≠ SwissMade

The Swiss flag is everywhere. On packaging for spirulina imported from Asia or South America, encapsulated in a Swiss factory — and sold as a "Swiss" product. Legally, this is possible. Morally, it is debatable.

The "Swissness" law requires that 80% of the raw material weight for foodstuffs must be of Swiss origin. A threshold that some cleverly circumvent by playing with definitions. The result: misled consumers and a devalued flag.

Swiss Label — the crossbow, the true SwissMade label

Since our creation in 2017, Spiruline SwissMade has held the Swiss Label — recognizable by its crossbow. This label goes far beyond the minimum legal requirements:

  • Foodstuffs: at least 90% of the raw material weight must come from Switzerland (compared to 80% required by law)
  • Registered office and effective administration must be in Switzerland

Our spirulina is cultivated, harvested, pressed and dried in our greenhouse in Lonay-Vaud. From cultivation to your table: 100% Swiss, without detour.

Vaud+ anchored in the Canton of Vaud

Since 2021, Spiruline SwissMade has also held the Vaud+ label, which certifies that production is carried out entirely in the Canton of Vaud. This label promotes Vaud's agriculture and crafts — and confirms that our spirulina does not come from the other side of the world.

We are proud to offer you a product that is 100% natural, 100% Swiss, 100% Vaudois.
